Coway Mighty pollution sensor communicates indoor air quality in real-time. The brightly colored LED lets you know how clean or dirty your indoor air is every minute of the day. And it features a timer, and filter lifetime indicator.
Fan speeds available in 1, 2, 3 stages by manually setting up. While auto mode automatically optimizes the speed setting 1 through 3 based on the level of indoor air quality. When no pollution is detected for 30 minutes, the fan will automatically stop and set as Eco mode to save energy.
Filter replacement indicator checks both Pre-filter and HEPA filter respectively to let users be aware of when to wash or replace the filter.
Yes it does remove PM2.5 particles effectively. PM 2.5 is right in a HEPA filters sweet spot. HEPA filter remove 99.97% of particles above 0.3 micrometers, and PM2.5 are right around 2.5 micrometers, so this would be extremely effective at doing so. This is true of all HEPA filters though, nothing special here.
The plastic it was wrapped with had an odor that quickly went away when disposed of. The unit itself has no detectable odor. What does “toxic” smell like, anyway? LOL!
the coway website up the top right also states 49m2 of 528 ft. i called coway they cant even answer it…..false advertising.
Yes it works . After almost a year of use the sensor works less on certain types of smells . You really should of read to take off all plastic . The lights should not stay red more than a few minutes or you have a serious problem like a gas leak or something close to it amiting fragrance or other . It picks up smoke type odors the most
